HUA offers the following programs in Sanskrit, aimed at students at varying Sanskrit knowledge levels, from those who start with the script and sounds, to those interested in a Masters' program in Sanskrit medium.
The Hindu University of America has the following Sanskrit programs:
1) Certificate Program in Sanskrit Proficiency: This program focuses on several dimensions of the Sanskrit language like reading, writing, speaking, listening, understanding, and even chanting and singing. The program is targeted at beginning students with a passion to learn a new language and those who are keen to engage with the texts and literature of the Hindu and Indic world and its numerous derivative knowledge systems. It is a 16-quarter Program of Study structured in the following three successive phases

2) Micro Certificate in Spoken Samskritam: This is a 4-quarter, 6 credit-hour leisurely paced exploration of Samskritam as a spoken language. It prepares beginner students familiar with Sanskrit/Devanagari script, but lacking fluency in conversational aspects, to achieve a level of conversational proficiency using simple real-life scenarios and skits. 3) Certificate Program in Bhagavad Geeta through Sanskrit - Beginner Phase: This program is structured in the form of 4 quarters (1 year). Knowledge of Devanagari script is a prerequisite to enrolling in this program and the medium of instruction will primarily be English. In the first phase, students will be able to discover the language through simple everyday conversation, recognize additional Sanskrit words, prepositions, and phrases among other things. 4) MA Sanskrit: The Hindu University of America in collaboration with Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) IIKS offers the MA Sanskrit program.
